Why Now

Every Leap in Flight Needed a New Crew

We opened the skies a century ago. Wright Brothers first flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, December 17, 1903
1903 to 1969

The Wright Brothers flew for 12 seconds at Kitty Hawk. Just 66 years later, a generation of engineers, pilots and technicians put people on the Moon.

Then we reached the stars. Apollo 11 on the Moon, 1969: one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind
Today

The next leap is already flying. Electric aircraft from BETA Technologies are in the air. Hydrogen aircraft are close behind.

Aircraft is ready. BETA electric aircraft flying above the clouds
The Gap

But aircraft don't fly themselves. Every one needs pilots to fly, technicians to maintain, crews to build and installers to charge.

The workforce is not ready. An empty runway disappearing into fog

The Missing Workforce

The Aircraft Are Coming. The Crews Are Not.

Over the next few years, airlines, manufacturers and new electric and hydrogen operators will need more skilled people than schools are producing. The shortfall runs from the cockpit to the hangar floor to the factory line.

Why the Gap Keeps Growing

  • Electric Aircraft Need New SkillsHigh-voltage batteries, electric motors and charging systems are not covered in most aviation programs.
  • New Pilot Rules Are HereThe FAA's powered-lift rule (SFAR 120) creates a new path to certify pilots for eVTOL aircraft, and few instructors are ready to teach it.
  • Factories Are Scaling UpElectric and hydrogen aircraft makers are moving from prototypes to production and need trained teams on the line.
  • You Can't Fit 1 Million Pilots in 1 AirplaneOn-the-job training cannot scale. Immersive simulation puts every trainee inside the aircraft at once.
  • Schools Aren't Built for It YetThe equipment is expensive and the programs are new. In many places they don't exist at all.

Immersive Training

Train Inside the Aircraft

With CEEK's immersive 3D training and AI Digital Twins, trainees step inside the cockpit, the engine and the procedure before they ever touch the real thing. Thousands can train at once, on any device.

Flying Critical Cargo Over Roads That Close

Cargo truck stuck in a flooded, muddy road in DR Congo during the rainy season
Roads like this close for days in the rainy season.

In remote mining regions of DR Congo, one rainy season can close roads for days or weeks, stranding trucks along with the minerals, parts and people they carry. SkyForce Air Transport aims to use the BETA ALIA CX300 electric aircraft to fly valuable, urgent, or stuck cargo from airstrip to airstrip.

High-Value Loads

A truck carries 20 to 30 tonnes, so bulk copper and cobalt stay on roads and rail. SkyForce flies where speed and value matter most, and logs every load from pickup to delivery for full traceability.

What We Fly

  • Coltan, Tin Ore and GoldFrom remote eastern sites to processing and export airports. These minerals are worth far more per kilogram than copper.
  • Core and Assay SamplesLab results in hours instead of weeks, so drilling decisions never wait on the road.
  • Parts, Medicine, Payroll and StaffSpare parts that keep a mine running, plus medical supplies, payroll and crews.
  • Rainy-Season BackupWhen roads close for days or weeks, the airstrip stays open.

In development

BETA ALIA A250

Electric vertical takeoff and landing. Reaches mine sites with no runway, with about 250 nm planned range.

U.S. Army contract

Elroy Air Chaparral

Autonomous hybrid-electric VTOL that carries up to 500 lb (230 kg) about 300 mi, with no runway needed.

In development

Pipistrel Nuuva V300

Autonomous hybrid VTOL built for remote cargo, carrying up to 460 kg on 3 pallets, about 300 km with a full load.

Under 50 kg

Delivery Drones

Bulk tonnes

Trucks and Rail

Bulk ore stays on the ground. Aircraft carry what can't wait.

Every aircraft needs a crew. SkyForce trains the pilots, technicians and charging installers who keep this fleet flying.

Aerospace Research and Development

Building the Training Electric Aviation Needs

Through the CEEK AI and GryMatter joint venture, SkyForce develops the training technology behind every track, and the programs that bring it to flight schools and training centers around the world.

AI Digital Twins

Virtual copies of aircraft and of real experts, so one instructor's knowledge can train thousands.

Immersive Simulation

Cockpit, engine, battery and charging procedures in VR and AR, including safety-critical scenarios trainees rehearse before touching a real aircraft.

Self-Updating Courses

Each module is tied to a specific aircraft and software version, so a spec change updates one module, not the whole course.

Hydrogen Flight Training

Project Hydro-Lift builds digital training for United Therapeutics' hydrogen-powered aircraft.

AI on the Factory Floor

AI That Works Alongside Every Crew

Aircraft makers are hiring hundreds of people a year, and their own systems learn faster than manual training can keep up. SkyForce connects what the company knows directly to the people building and maintaining the aircraft.

  • Connect Company KnowledgeSpecs, procedures and quality data feed the AI Digital Twin, so training always reflects how the company works today.
  • Train Before Day OneNew hires learn on web, VR and mobile before they reach the floor, and schools can use the same modules.
  • Hands-Free Help Mid-TaskWith smart glasses and voice, workers ask the AI twin a question without stepping away from the aircraft.
  • Capture Floor Know-HowConversations between technicians and quality inspectors become new training material instead of being lost.
  • Measure What MattersTime to competency, course completion and instructor hours saved, tracked for every cohort.

The Push for Cleaner Flight

Climate Goals Are Speeding Up the Shift

The EU Green Deal targets climate neutrality by 2050 and a 55% cut in net emissions by 2030, compared to 1990. Aviation is part of that push, and electric and hydrogen aircraft are how it gets there.

European Union Green Deal: climate neutrality by 2050
Aviation must cut emissions by 55% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels

Cleaner aircraft need new skills: high-voltage systems, battery packs, charging networks and hydrogen fuel cells. That is what SkyForce teaches.
